As Director of Sales at Insulgard Security Products, Gerry specializes in guiding the development, testing, and certification of protective windows and doors. His expertise spans a variety of high-stakes environments, including those requiring ICC 500 and FEMA 361 certifications for tornado and hurricane resistance. Throughout his career, Gerry has built and nurtured strong client relationships, earning a reputation for his personalized approach and commitment to meeting each customer’s unique security needs.
Hands-On Knowledge and Product Development
Gerry’s knowledge isn’t just technical—it’s hands-on. He’s been deeply involved in the design and testing of many of Insulgard’s most advanced products, which gives him a unique ability to support architects and contractors in incorporating security features into their projects. Whether it’s explaining the finer details of UL 752 bullet resistance ratings or discussing the structural requirements for safe room construction, Gerry is dedicated to making sure that Insulgard’s clients have access to the best security solutions.

In addition to his role at Insulgard, Gerry is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Storm Shelter Association (NSSA). His insights have been featured in industry publications such as US Glass Magazine and Performance Plastics Magazine, and he’s a regular speaker at events like the AIA Arkansas, AIA Iowa, and NSSA annual conferences, where he shares his decades of industry knowledge on the performance standards of tornado- and hurricane-resistant products.
Gerry lives just outside of Cleveland in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, with his wife, Stacey. They have three children. When Gerry’s not educating architects on security products, he’s likely golfing or contemplating how to pay for those Ohio State and Ohio University college bills!
